The Tethered God

The Tethered God is my debut dark fantasy novel, and honestly, it's the kind of book I wanted to read myself.

It's a story about broken people, cruel gods, terrible choices, and the question of whether someone who has already lost everything can still find something worth fighting for.

The story follows Brann, a former Warden who has spent years trying to bury his past at the bottom of a bottle. He's not your typical fantasy hero. He's older, rough around the edges, deeply flawed, and carrying more regret than he knows what to do with. But when the past he thought he'd buried comes back for him—and something far older and more terrifying than the gods begins to call his name—Brann is forced back into a world he desperately wanted to leave behind.

And then there's Seren. She's intelligent, fierce, and more than capable of holding her own in a world that would love nothing more than to break her. Watching her and Brann navigate everything thrown at them is one of my favorite parts of the story.

So, what should you expect?

A dark, fast-paced fantasy that doesn't pull its punches. There's blood. There's brutal action. There's a magic system that gets pretty damn weird. There's horror, disturbing body horror, ancient gods, religious corruption, and plenty of moments where you might wonder if anyone in this world is going to make it out alive.

But The Tethered God isn't just darkness for the sake of darkness.

At its heart, this is a story about people. About guilt, faith, redemption, friendship, love, and what happens when you are forced to question everything you thought you knew about the world.

I wanted to write a fantasy that felt big and epic without requiring you to memorize three hundred names before you could enjoy it. Something that moves quickly, keeps the pages turning, and still leaves you with plenty to think about once you've finished.

This is my first novel. It's the book I've poured years of ideas, obsession, and far too much time into. It's the beginning of The Shattered Song, and I'm incredibly excited to finally let readers step into Ashkareth and see where this story goes.

If you like your fantasy dark, bloody, weird, emotional, and unapologetically fun, I think there's a good chance you're going to feel at home here.
